Peter Christian Fry, of Wilton, and formerly a resident of New Canaan and Rowayton, was among the victims of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on Tuesday, September 11. He was 36 years old.
Mr. Fry was Vice President, Institutional Money Markets at Euro Brokers Incorporated, a global securities firm located at 2 World Trade Center. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Wilton, CT on Saturday, September 29th at 1:30 PM.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Meredith Loomis Fry, and their two daughters, Caley, 3 and Taylor, 6; two brothers, Lance Fry of Orange County, CA and Michael Fry of Houston, TX. He is the son of Charles Fry of Houston, TX and the late Margaret McClintock Fry. His parents-in-law, Arthur and Consuelo Loomis of Chatham, MA, were long-time New Canaan residents and many of his surviving in-laws, nieces and nephews still reside in the area.
Mr. Fry was formerly employed at JM Lummis & Co., a New Canaan-based financial firm, prior to joining Euro Brokers in 1997. At Euro Brokers Mr. Fry led the Institutional Money Market desk.
An avid athlete and accomplished sportsman, Mr. Fry was active in the Fairfield County Club Lacrosse League, as well as being a long-standing member of the Adirondack League Club in Old Forge, NY.
Mr. Fry was born in Bronxville, NY and was a graduate of Brewster Academy and Curry College in Milton, MA, where he was an All America lacrosse player.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be considered in Mr. Fry's memory to an educational trust being established for the benefit of his two surviving daughters.
